MUCHO GUSTO Description and Charter Summary Information
Mucho Gusto, the newest model from Horizon, is the ultimate in luxury yachting. Launched in February 2019, she is the only 65-foot Horizon Power Cat available for charters.
Guests are pampered from the moment they step aboard, with a choice of three exquisitely appointed suites: an on-deck California king Primary suite, a VIP king suite, and a twin berth-or-king cabin, all with en-suite bathrooms.
The main deck features a gracious aft deck and dining area, two swim platforms with a stainless outdoor shower, and a high-low platform.
The flybridge is a true oasis, with a fully air-conditioned helm station, wet bar, and alfresco dining area. Guests can also relax on the exterior loungers on the broad sundeck, while the chef cooks up a feast in the covered BBQ area. A day head on the flybridge ensures that guests are always comfortable.
On the bow, guests will find recently updated sun cushions for six, perfect for enjoying the sun and sea breeze while underway.

Hi — We’re Mario & Gi!
Our story began in Pretoria, South Africa, in a hospitality school classroom. As part of an icebreaker, everyone was asked to toss their shoes into a pile and pick one at random to find their partner. By chance — or maybe fate — I (Gi) pulled out Mario’s shoe, and we’ve been a team ever since.
Mario was born and raised in South Africa and has always been a people person with a knack for problem-solving. After studying hospitality management, he trained across luxury hotels, fine-dining restaurants, and even South Africa’s iconic Blue Train. His love for the ocean eventually drew him to yachting, where he earned his Yachtmaster certification and discovered his passion for life at sea. Calm, capable, and endlessly resourceful, Mario keeps Mucho Gusto running seamlessly — whether he’s at the helm, behind the bar crafting his signature “cocktail of the day,” or fixing something before anyone else even knows it’s broken. He’s also a certified Dive Master, trained electrician, barista, and mixologist — and when he’s not on the water, you’ll usually find him restoring classic cars.
I (Gi) grew up in Mozambique, surrounded by tropical beaches, fresh seafood, and the Portuguese-inspired flavours that have shaped my cooking. By sixteen, I was already guiding safari guests and sharing my love of nature and wildlife — hospitality came naturally. I went on to earn a three-year diploma in Professional Cookery, specializing in dietary requirements and personalized menus. Food, for me, is about joy and connection, and I love creating dishes that make people feel both nourished and delighted. Guests often tell me it’s my laugh that fills the boat as much as the aroma from the galley — and that’s the best compliment I could ask for.
Together, we’re passionate about creating charters that feel effortless and personal — where guests can completely relax knowing every detail is taken care of. Whether it’s Mario mixing sundowners on the flybridge, me serving up something fresh from the galley, or the two of us sharing stories over sunset, we love making every trip aboard Mucho Gusto one to remember.

A New Favorite Winter Escape
D+HWhat an incredible week! Our annual getaway is usually in the Bahamas, but taking a leap to the BVI with you turned out to be the best decision ever. The weather, water temperature, and the breathtaking hikes exceeded our expectations.

A Jolley 10 Days!
Dom & Hannah,I feel that 10 days just wasn't quite enough time with you!
I knew this trip would be epic when our shark whisperer (Grace) came back from a first snorkel with an aquarium of treasures (starfish, conch, baby eels, triggers fish and not one but 2 octopus!). We weathered a couple rainy days with a marathon beading extravaganza of of course a hat beading contest- will remembers jays victory and dom's "Help me"- did someone "Say Snacks?". I did my best to soak up every little detail (bump in the road) in this last Bahamas charter for some time.
To say that meals were perfect seems redundant, but its important that you know how gifted you are. We feasted like kings and queens. we couldn't possibly have enjoyed the trip without our fearless leader (and constant good sport) Dom! You are always gracious, and accommodating and we appreciate you more than you know.
Leaving the Bahamas seems bitter sweet as I'll miss the turquoise waters and the mangroves, but Adventure awaits in the BVI's and we can't keep Her waiting!

Every once in a while a little magic happens, and so it was when we boarded the good ship “Mucho Gusto’. The two of you work in perfect harmony, and made us feel right at home, the food was varied and divine as was the wine and whiskey.
The sights and sounds of the beautiful islands, the stories round the dinner table, all added to an unforgettable week, which has sadly come to an end.

A Last Minute Switcheroo, Part Two
Dear Hannah & Dom,Thank you for making our short two night stay so magical! The food was absolutely incredible, the location was dreamy and your involvement in helping and including our teenagers in the fun made this trip so special for us. We truly were able to see and do so many fun things- from swimming with sea turtles, paddle boarding, snorkeling the reef, tubing, trying to knock down the infamous coconut, the glorious lightning storm with the heart shaped lightning bolt! learning a new board game, playing dominoes and 5-star dining that was out of this world good. So worth all the effort to get here! We know our son Azby will remember this trip of a lifetime as well. Thank you for taking him under your wing. When Doug caught the first fish, I will never forget Dom saying to Azby, “You must learn Azby” in his stealth accent “how to get the fish off the hook and back into the water”. So memorable- all of it. We feel blessed. Thank you!

A Mid May Escapade
It seems that every time I write an entry in a 'travel guest book', it always begins with "Wow!... amazing trip!...awesome!... can't wait to come back!..." but this time feels different. Spending the week with Dom and Hannah was like coming home. Where family welcomes you with open arms and where laughter and conversation are plentiful. An Easter Two-Weeker

4 Day Exuma Excursion July 2019
To the Impeccable Captain Dominic & the Exquisite Chef, Hannah.I don't think we have enough adjectives to properly describe the perfection of our time on Mucho Gusto!
From tendering over to pick us up by the airport (Staniel Cay), to planning the perfect anchorages, to seeking out fantastic snorkel spots both well known & brand new, Dominic, Your professionalism and attention to detail was levels above your years!
Chef Hannah, you my friend, have MAD food skills. Every meal was perfectly prepared and an explosion of complementary flavors and textures... A new adventure on every plate. I don't think we have ever eaten so well for so many meals in a row!
Mucho Gusto is truly a beautiful yacht and the attention to detailing the planning does not go unnoticed. the smart choices and stunning design elements make her a match above the competition. We cannot wait to get our next adventure with you guys on the books!
